A Father's Plea: Help Me Rebuild My Medicine Shop and Give My Children a Better Future

Dear family, friends, and kind-hearted supporters,

My name is Md Rokib Ahmed, and I am a father of three children, aged 4, 11, and 13.

I am sharing my story with humility because my family is going through an extremely difficult financial situation. I have always tried to work hard and provide for my family, but after years of hardship, debt, and unexpected family expenses, I have reached a point where I can no longer manage everything on my own.

My Small Medicine Shop Is Our Main Hope

I have a small medicine shop that has been an important source of income for my family.

I do not want to give up this business. I want to rebuild it, stock it properly, and return to earning a stable and honest income.

Unfortunately, because of our financial difficulties and growing debts, I currently do not have enough working capital to purchase the medicine stock my shop needs.

Customers still come to my shop looking for medicines. Sometimes I have to tell them that the medicine they need is not available because I simply cannot afford to keep enough stock.

This is very difficult for me because I know that if I could properly restock the shop, I could serve my customers again and create a more stable source of income for my family.

How We Reached This Difficult Situation

My financial problems became much worse after I lost both of my parents.

My mother suffered a brain stroke and eventually passed away. During her illness, I had to borrow money to help pay for her medical treatment and necessary expenses.

Later, my father also suffered a brain stroke and passed away. Once again, I had to borrow money to help with his treatment and other necessary expenses.

At those moments, getting medical care for my parents was more important to me than thinking about how I would repay the money later.

I only wanted to help my parents and do everything I could for them.

But after losing both of my parents, the debts remained.

Over time, I borrowed money from banks, NGOs, relatives, siblings, friends, and kind people who helped my family during those difficult years.

Some of my outstanding loans include:

  • BRAC Bank — BDT 200,000
  • Islami Bank — BDT 500,000
  • ASA NGO — BDT 200,000
  • TMS NGO — BDT 200,000

These listed loans alone total approximately BDT 1,100,000.

There is also additional money that I have borrowed from relatives, siblings, friends, and other people who supported me during difficult times.

I do not want to run away from these responsibilities.

My goal is to rebuild my income, become financially stable again, and gradually repay what I owe.

My Three Children Need Me

My three children are 4, 11, and 13 years old.

They depend on me for their food, clothing, education, school fees, private tuition, books, uniforms, and other school supplies.

These may seem like basic needs, but because of our current financial situation, even these everyday expenses have become difficult for me to manage.

The thing that worries me most is their education.

I do not want my financial problems to interrupt their studies or prevent them from having the opportunity to build a better future.

As a father, I want my children to continue going to school, learn, grow with dignity, and have opportunities in life.

I am trying my best to protect that future for them.

Why I Am Asking for Help

Asking strangers and kind-hearted people for financial help is not easy for me.

I have always wanted to work and provide for my family myself.

I am not asking for a permanent life of dependence on donations.

I am asking for a chance to rebuild my livelihood.

If I can put enough medicine stock back into my shop and restore its working capital, I can serve my customers again, generate regular income, support my children's education and daily needs, and begin working toward repayment of my debts.

I want to work.

I want to support my children.

I want to repay the people and institutions I owe.

Most importantly, I want to become financially independent again.

How Your Support Can Help

My fundraising goal is €20,000.

The money raised will be used carefully and responsibly for the most urgent needs of my family, including:

  • Restocking my small medicine shop
  • Rebuilding the shop's working capital
  • Supporting my children's school and private tuition fees
  • Buying books, uniforms, and school supplies
  • Providing food and essential household necessities
  • Meeting urgent family and medical needs when necessary
  • Helping me manage and gradually repay the debts accumulated during our difficult years

My intention is to use this support as a new beginning, not simply as temporary financial relief.

My greatest hope is that the support will help me rebuild my small business so that I can once again earn an honest income and take responsibility for my family.

Even a Small Contribution Can Make a Difference

I understand that not everyone can afford to give a large amount. That is completely understandable.

If you are able to help, even €5, €10, or €20 can make a meaningful difference when many people come together.

For example:

100 people × €10 = €1,000

200 people × €20 = €4,000

Many small acts of kindness can come together and give a struggling family a real opportunity to rebuild.

And if you cannot donate, please consider sharing my Support Registry with your family, friends, colleagues, and social media community.

A simple share could reach someone who is able to help.

I Am Asking for a Chance to Start Again

I know everyone has their own responsibilities and financial challenges. That is why I am sincerely grateful to every person who takes the time to read my story.

I am not asking for a luxurious life.

I am asking for an opportunity to:

  • rebuild my small medicine shop,
  • earn an honest and stable income,
  • support my three children's education,
  • provide food and basic necessities for my family,
  • and gradually repay the debts that have become such a heavy burden.

Your support could give my family more than financial assistance.

It could give me the opportunity to stand on my own feet again.

It could help my children continue their education.

It could help me rebuild the small business that my family depends on.

And it could give us hope after years of financial hardship.

If you are able to contribute, thank you from the bottom of my heart.

If you cannot contribute, please share our story. Your share may reach someone who can help.

Thank you for taking the time to listen to my story, understand our situation, and consider supporting my family.

With sincere gratitude,

Md Rokib Ahmed
