Help mee om The Legacy of Vieux Maya – The Luck Seeker te publiceren
Mijn pen naam is Rhude Maya - The Son of the Soil, schrijver van The Legacy of Vieux Maya – The Luck Seeker.
- copyrightregistratie en bescherming van het manuscript;
- professionele publicatie en distributie;
- internationale zichtbaarheid van het boek;
- pers- en media-aandacht;
- voorbereiding van het boek voor lezers in verschillende landen;
- en het uiteindelijk beschikbaar maken van The Legacy of Vieux Maya – The Luck Seeker als e-book en fysieke editie.
Elke bijdrage, groot of klein, helpt.

A book about Congo, African sovereignty, history, and the future we have the power to shape ourselves.
Dear family, friends, colleagues, and everyone who believes in the power of stories,
My pen name is Rhude Maya - The Son of the Soil, author of The Legacy of Vieux Maya – The Luck Seeker.
After years of research, writing, rewriting, and refining, the manuscript is now approaching the final stage of its publishing journey.
For me, this book has become much more than a manuscript. It is a personal and intellectual project that brings together history, geopolitics, African sovereignty, natural resources, energy, diplomacy, and socioeconomic development.
The story looks at Congo's past, but its primary question is about the future.
Why this book?
The Democratic Republic of Congo possesses extraordinary natural resources and occupies a strategically important position in Africa and the world. Yet Congo's story has too often been told through the perspectives and interests of others.
With The Legacy of Vieux Maya – The Luck Seeker, I want to contribute another perspective.
The book asks questions such as:
What if Congo fully leveraged its natural resources and strategic position for the benefit of its own people?
What if African nations were recognized not merely as suppliers of raw materials, but as independent economic and geopolitical actors?
How could Congo build a future in which knowledge, technology, energy, ecology, diplomacy, and economic development reinforce one another?
This book is not an attempt to simplify history or ignore its complexities. It is an invitation to think about what becomes possible when African societies increasingly define their own future.
Why am I asking for support?
The manuscript has already progressed significantly through the publishing process. However, the remaining costs associated with bringing the book fully to publication and increasing its visibility are substantial.
Based on the current publishing and promotional requirements, I am working toward approximately €3,220 in remaining costs, including copyright registration and additional international publicity and distribution services.
For me, this is a significant amount. Under my current financial circumstances, raising the full amount independently could take several months and potentially delay the publication of the book.
That is why I am reaching out to you.
I am not asking you simply to support me as an individual. I am asking you to support a book, a story, and an idea that I believe deserves to reach a wider audience.
What will your contribution support?
Your contribution will help with:
- copyright registration and protection of the manuscript;
- professional publication and distribution;
- international visibility for the book;
- press and media exposure;
- preparing the book for readers in different markets;
- and making The Legacy of Vieux Maya – The Luck Seeker available as an e-book and physical publication.
Every contribution matters.
Whether you contribute €5,€10, €25, €50, €100, or more, your support brings this project one step closer to publication.
If you are unable to contribute financially, I completely understand. You can still make a meaningful difference by sharing this campaign with family, friends, colleagues, organizations, and anyone interested in Africa, Congo, history, geopolitics, international development, or the future of the continent.
This book is bigger than one person
I believe stories have the power to change perspectives.
My hope is that The Legacy of Vieux Maya – The Luck Seeker will not simply be read, but will create conversations about Congo, Africa, sovereignty, development, and the future.
A future in which African nations are not defined solely by what others need from them, but increasingly by what they choose to become.
Will you help me bring this story to the world?
Every contribution brings me closer to completing the final step.
Support the publication. Share the story. Help bring The Legacy of Vieux Maya – The Luck Seeker to readers around the world.
With gratitude,
Rhude Maya
